Venue

The 25th Computer Vision Winter Workshop in 2020 will take place in Rogaška Slatina, a town in eastern Slovenia, 50 km from Maribor and close to the border of the Croatia. It is the largest settlement and the centre of the Municipality of Rogaška Slatina. The name Rogaška Slatina literally means ‘Rogatec springs’, referring to a source of mineral water. The town is known for its curative mineral water, spa, and crystal glass. For centuries the curative mineral water rich in magnesium (branded as Donat Mg), the picturesque countryside, and other local attractions have attracted visitors to the area. Roman inscriptions referring to the spa waters have also been found.

The conference will take place in Grand Hotel Sava Rogaška, a part of the Rogaška Hotels & ROI Medico & Spa Group. It is located at the heart of a flower park, through which the gentry of monarch families and members of high nobility used to walk as early as in the 17th century. While strolling through the hotel, you will be charmed by a tap house featuring medicinal mineral water that is ranked among top-quality mineral waters in the world due to the highest magnesium content.
